MARISSA CROSS
BOARD MEMBER
I am Stark County born and raised! I grew up in Louisville and lived there until 2022 when I bought my house and moved to Minerva with my partner, Tyler. In that same year, we adopted our 80 lb rescue dog, Bruce, who keeps us on our toes. I am also the proud aunt to 4 littles who let me spoil them like my own. I am a Kent State University graduate with my bachelor’s in marketing, and I have been a licensed insurance agent for 10 years.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I spend a lot of time on the couch with Bruce and Tyler watching movies or binge watching a new show. But when I’m not doing that, I spend as much time with my family who I am lucky to say don’t live far.
What inspires you?
I am so inspired by my family. I was raised to work hard and put everything into what you do. My parents are selfless and I want to make them proud that they raised me.
Why are you on the board of directors?
I want to be able to give as much as I can to the organization. I have volunteered for years but I know I have more to give.
Who is a hero of yours?
I know this might be cheating but my siblings are big heroes of mine. They’ve each made such success stories for themselves, and I am so proud to be their sister.
What is something quirky about you?
I have played a mascot more than once in my life. In fact, I have been 3 different mascots in which I dressed up as each on multiple different occasions.
